What Is Self Storage? :return to top:
Self Storage is an easy, flexible storage solution. You only pay for the space you need and the length of time you use it without being tied into a lease or long-term rental agreement.
Are there different types of Self Storage? :return to top:
Yes, Self Storage broadly speaking falls into 3 catagories.
- Purpose built buildings and converted warehouses. These types of facility are to a degree similar boasting Unit Alarms, CCTV in most cases 7days a week access. They are dry being insulated from the changes of temperature which can cause damp and condensation as the individual units are built within the outer skin.
- External Steel Containers which similar to the shipping containers you see on the roads. These are found either in concrete compounds, open ground or in some cases farm yards. These can in some cases be difficult to access, are susceptible to humidity and temperature changes.
- Converted Farm Buildings which vary from site to site and are generally making use of redundant space.
What type is Pack and Stack? :return to top:
Pack and Stack is a purpose built facility built over two floors with a lift to the first floor.
We are one of the newest facilities in Ipswich and offer Secure 24 Hour Access and CCTV Monitoring that help ensure convenience and maximum security for all of our customers and their possessions that are stored with us. Although our office is open from 9 am to 6 pm customers are able to access their storage unit using a cash machine type access pin unique to them and their unit. When the correct pin is entered the door entry system opens the main door and deactivates their individual unit alarm The customer can then open their own padlock allowing them to add or remove their items.

Is it possible to view the storage rooms before I rent?
Yes, it is always advisable to view any facility for your own peace of mind, before you commit yourself. We’ll be pleased to see you at any time.
How much notice do I need to give you to move in? :return to top:
None, you may call today and store today if you wish. There is no charge to reserve a storage room however a deposit is required which is refunded when you move out.
Are there any hidden extras to pay for? :return to top:
No, all you pay for is the monthly storage room rental and insurance . No additional charges are made for heating, lighting, local authority rates etc.
Are your charges for a true month or are they per 4 weeks? :return to top:
Monthly i.e. 12 months per year.
Do I have to insure my items in storage? :return to top:
Insurance is recommended but not mandatory and we can arrange this at the rate of £3.00 per £1000.00 per month if you require.

Do you charge when I access my storage unit? :return to top:
No, you can come and go as often as you please free of charge.

We are one of the few facilities that offers Secure 24 Hour Access and CCTV Monitoring that help ensure convenience and maximum security for all of our customers and their possessions that are stored with us.
Our office is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday inclusive and 9.30am to 5pm on Saturdays.
What is the minimum or maximum storage period? :return to top:
You can rent a storage unit for as short or as long period as you require, however we do have a minimum charge period of 14 days
What paperwork is needed and will I need a solicitor? :return to top:
All we need you to do is provide 2 forms of identification and sign a simple Storage Agreement.
Do you supply cartons and packing materials? :return to top:
Yes, we have a wide range of boxes, wardrobe cartons, bubble wrap, packing paper etc for sale in our Reception.
Can you receive items on my behalf? :return to top:
Yes, we can accept deliveries for you in your absence.
We can also supervise collections subject to prior arrangement.
What payment methods do you accept? :return to top:
We prefer Deposits and initial rental to be paid cash, cheque, debit or credit card (over the telephone if you wish) and thereafter by standing order from your bank.
Prohibited items :return to top:
In the interest of Safety and the well being of our customers and their effects we
have a list of items that are prohibited from being stored. These include
perishable goods and foods, inflammable items, dangerous chemicals, goods of
an illegal nature or live animals. Our staff are always on hand to ask if you are
unsure.
